Recently I had a chance to learn something new about Internet website. And, I would like to share this really simple and helpful trick. It's nothing innovating, but can help your website or blog. Whenever you create a new website you can add your URL to Google. It's just a one step closer to appear on Google search results rather than waiting for Google to discover you. Not only that, you can do it on other search engines too. And there are some local websites that will allow you to do the same. Increase your visibility by submitting and optimizing your website for Google search, and distributing your content across Google and the web at large. On Google page click on About Google under "For Site Owners" click "Submit your content to Google and under "Web" click "Add URL." Or just click HERE.

Add your URL and you are done. Keep your content fresh:)

NEW FAIRFIELD CT: A Lakeside Town

New Fairfield Center, at the intersection of Routes 37 and 39, is the heart of this well-known residential community. Convenient retail businesses and professional services are centrally located and close to its town hall, library, and post office.

Both the New Fairfield Jaycees and the New Fairfield Historical Society have made great contributions to this idyllic and historic area.

In 1724, a dozen citizens of Fairfield met with Squantz, Chief of the Schaghticoke Indians, and agreed on terms of purchase for this 32,000-acre tract for the equivalent of $300.00. Originally two miles wider, the territory had been narrowed by cession from Connecticut to New York in a boundary accord of 1683. Due to its great length, the Town was divided roughly in half in 1802 when the northern portion separated to form the Town of Sherman.

In 1926 the Connecticut Light and Power Company approved a plan to create a lake and use its water to produce electricity. It took only 26 months to return the valley into Candlewood Lake. The lake's beauty and charm have drawn vacationers to new Fairfield ever since.

Everyone put your best foot forward and provide an extra reason for people to come and do business with you. Face painting here, popcorn there, live music on every corner. One town, one party, one goal... we all work together. Everyone in town that currently advertises on the radio, mention the Brookfield Block Party, TV, newspaper, Internet, direct mail whatever you do, mention the Brookfield Block party. I will have event signs made and approved by the zoning board. Special Event Signs are allowed to be up for 30 days before the event. As interest builds I MAY provide booth space under a tent or group of tents I operated this event 3 years in a row from 94'-96'

Keep it simple, invite your current clients and people you want to add to your list of friends, customers and associates. The compounded effect of every business in town running a special promotion will be substantial. Brookfield does not have a town green, lets embrace who we are. If one business in a strip mall provides hot dogs another face painting, another popcorn. We will give people a reason to stop in and say hello while learning about our businesses. Call one of our local bands and offer some live music...do one thing!

Some of the events that we created the last 3 times were:

What's new in New Milford, CT

Old Grove gets face-lift - As the Grove Street/Route 67 project moves along just down the street, one of the New Milford's nearby streets is undergoing major reconstruction. Old Grove runs through a residential neighborhood and also happens to serve as a popular thoroughfare for hundreds of drivers traveling between Grove Street and Route 67. The road has been closed for several weeks now, however, as it is widened and curbing installed. Once the work is completed, Old Grove will be reopened for two-way traffic. The quarter-mile long street will be closed permanently at its intersection with Route 67, however, once the Grove/67 project is completed. Click here to see a map.

Data Collectors to inspect homes soon for town's revaluation

During the next several months, data collectors from Vision Appraisal will be conducting inspections of properties in New Milford as part of the town's work for the 2010 revaluation of all real estate, as mandated by state statutes.

Data collectors will ask permission to inspect, the interior of your home and any other buildings on your property.

Photographs of properties will also be take. To ensure a home is inspected, a homeowner must sign a data collection form to verify the inspection. All data collectors will carry official photo identification and letter of introduction.

Data collectors generally work Monday though Fridays between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., with some additional weekend hours.

Auto description and license plates will be filed with the local police department.
